ISI GARAGE GIVEAWAY
FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS/SCHOLARS AND THEIR FAMILIES
WE HAVE GONE VIRTUAL THIS YEAR
STILL FREE, BUT NOW FREE OF CROWDS!
The name, "Garage Giveaway" is an adaptation of something common in America: “garage sales.“ A garage sale is the sale of used household items at a person's home, often held in the garage. The items are usually sold at a very reduced price because they are used. Some are in like-new condition.
In our "Garage Giveaway," the items are free to international students/scholars. We want to welcome you to Kansas City and assist you in getting settled in your apartment in Kansas City. New students have a priority in getting items, but this year we are opening it up to those who have been in Kansas City.
Some of the items we may have are:
Furniture - Desks, tables, chairs, small side tables, bookshelves
Lamps & desk lamps
Microwaves
Vacuum cleaners
Rice cookers
Coffee makers
Bicycles - sometimes
Get started by filling out our Giveaway REGISTRATION. The registration will help us know what you are needing. We will then send you an invitation to our ISI KC Virtual Giveaway Facebook Group. As we find items that match your needs we will organize a time to have some of our volunteers bring those items to you. (With social distancing of course!)
