City Director, Kansas City

Lead a team of harvesters across Kansas City campuses such as KuMed and Avila University. This position reports to the Regional Field Director. Supervisees will include Campus Staff, Mobilizers, Campus Director or Team leaders, City/Area Trainers, and Ministry Representatives/Volunteers within the ministry.

Educational Qualifications/Experience​

  • ​Has a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and preferably a master’s degree  
  • Has a minimum of three years of work experience encompassing people management and leadership in the public sector or in a ministry  
  • Demonstrated work experience in administrative skills of project management and strategic planning will be given preference, as will prior ministry experience with ISI or another international student ministry 

Responsibilities and Standards

  • Ensure implementation of the ISI national strategic plan in his/her area and for developing a complementary local plan to reach all international students in the city and for implementation/completion of that plan  
  • Build a staff team and lead it. This includes helping with recruitment and involvement in all staff development and personnel issues in his/her area, under the oversight of their supervisor and ISI’s Home Office.  
  • Raise funding for the City Budget 
  • Image ISI to the community and churches - “telling the story” of international student ministry  
  • Develop procedures, systems, and resources to meet critical day-to-day operational needs  
  • Ensure timely responsiveness by local team members to the Home Office’s requests for reports and statistical information  
  • Oversee the management of a campus ministry office (where allowed) and campus ministry staff in the absence of a Campus Director  
  • Other duties as assigned.* ​
*ISI authorizes staff to perform various ministry functions including, but not limited to, leading bible studies and international student fellowships, praying, planning, directing, and/or supervision the ministry activities of team members, and planning/developing the content of religious activities or other events with students and ISI participants. When appropriate, staff may preach and teach the Word of God and perform sacerdotal duties, such as officiating for baptisms, weddings, funerals, and administering Holy Communion.
